These guidelines include minimum standards around WHS, project management, cleanliness, workmanship, communication, access, timelines and payments. More often than not, there are underlying defects evident on buildings which can’t be fixed or hidden with a simple coat of paint. To undertake and complete any project properly and professionally, these defects must be identified and repaired prior to painting. We assist in identifying and rectifying these defects. We commonly uncover concrete issues such as drummy render, control joint failure, spalling and concrete cancer. Rotten timber is also common, as well as water ingress and waterproofing issues. We help mitigate risk by ensuring that contractors have all WHS paperwork in place and that these processes are complied with onsite. This includes risk assessments, safe work method statements and material safety data sheets. Choosing the right type of access equipment to complete the work is also critical. We oversee the site access map to identify where scaffold, elevated work platforms, swing stages or industrial rope access is being utilised to complete the project safely.
